Dive into the Adventure of Sports Right Here in St. Pete

The St. Petersburg EDC couldn’t be prouder of our Tampa Bay sports teams this 2020 season. In case you missed it, here’s the run down!

Just last month, the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team won the Stanley Cup! Although the hockey season is over, the NFL is in full swing. Our Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by certain Hall of Famer, Tom Brady, sit in 1st place in their division in the NFL. WAY TO GO!  You can see our hometown team take on the Las Vegas Raider this Sunday October 25th at 4:05 pm on FOX.

We are also witnessing St. Pete’s very own Tampa Bay Rays play in the WORLD SERIES, Rays up!! After a great win on Wednesday night, pulling even in the series, The Rays are back in action tonight.  Witness the most innovative team in baseball with one of the lowest payrolls battle the LA Dodgers at 8:00 pm on FOX.  With arguably, the best stable of pitchers in the league and some of the most fun players on any roster, watching the Rays is truly exciting.  Tonight, Charlie Morton gets the start after getting the win in game 7 of the ALCS.

The triumph doesn’t stop there…after celebrating a win over Charleston off an amazing goal by forward, “Lucky” Mkosona, the Tampa Bay Rowdies will advance to the USL Championship’s Eastern Conference final, at Louisville City FC Saturday, October 24th at 7:00 PM, ESPN+. There’s never been a better time to check out the oldest franchise in American Professional Soccer.  Rowdies Soccer – It’s a Kick in the Grass!

Let’s not forget about the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg.  The rescheduled race will determine the 2020 NTT INDYCAR Series Championship.  Although the championship will likely go to either Josef Newgarden or Scott Dixon, we will certainly be rooting for St. Pete’s own Sebastien Bourdais. The Grand Prix of St. Petersburg has the drivers racing through the streets of St. Pete under beautiful palm trees along the shores of Tampa Bay.  This is a race that the drivers compare to the Formula One race in Monaco.  If you can’t make it in person to see why the drivers love St. Pete, you can watch the race this Sunday October 25th at 2:30 on NBC.
