Fintech Firm CrossBorder Solutions Relocates from NY to St. Pete

Another New York company in the financial services space has relocated to St. Pete. Artificial intelligence-powered tax expert CrossBorder Solutions has moved its headquarters to 805 Executive Center Dr. W. in the Gateway area.

CrossBorder Solutions is a global leader in technology driven tax solutions. Standing at the intersection of human and machine intelligence, they are designed to empower today’s tax professionals.

In an interview with the St. Pete Catalyst, co-founder and CEO Don Scherer said he had noted St. Pete’s growing cluster of tech companies — both startups and established firms, that moved from other parts of the country.

““We think being here is a big draw, and not just locally,” he said. “It’s drawing people nationally. Florida has become a top destination in this new climate.”

CrossBorder Solutions was founded in 2001 and quickly became an industry leader in transfer pricing compliance. The company was sold to Thomson Reuters in 2008, and in 2017 was reestablished under the original management team with the goal to provide tax compliance software and services to multinational corporations.

Scherer told the Catalyst that the firm plans to hire a total of 300 people over the next six to nine months and has already boosted its workforce to 120. “We find really high-quality staff here,” he said. “It’s an amazing place for a company to scale.”
