About St. Anthony’s Hospital
St. Anthony’s Health Care Foundation was incorporated in 1981 with the purpose of advancing the mission first established by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany – to provide excellence in medical care with an emphasis on compassion. St. Anthony’s Hospital is a 448-bed hospital founded in 1931 as a ministry of the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, N.Y. The hospital, which employs about 2,000 team members, has a rich history dedicated to improving the health of the community by providing high-quality, innovative and compassionate care. In 2022, the hospital continued its commitment to caring for the community by opening a patient tower with 90 private rooms. The hospital continues to build for the future with an expansion of the emergency department with an emphasis on providing an enhanced environment for behavioral health patients. The hospital also is expanding its imaging capabilities to meet the needs of the community. Part of BayCare Health System, St. Anthony’s Hospital is located at 1200 Seventh Ave. N in St. Petersburg.
