About The Florida Holocaust Museum
The Florida Holocaust Museum (The FHM), located in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, is one of the largest Holocaust museums in the United States. Founded in 1992 and, since 1998, located at 55 Fifth Street South, The FHM serves as a leading center for Holocaust education across the Tampa Bay region.
As one of only three Holocaust museums accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, The FHM is committed to preserving the memory of those who perished and empowering future generations through education. Its collections include more than 25,000 artifacts, including Boxcar #113 069 5 and the Danish rescue boat Thor, along with extensive survivor testimonies and nationally recognized exhibitions.
Deeply rooted in the St. Pete/Tampa Bay community, The FHM collaborates with local schools, universities, civic organizations, and cultural partners to deliver impactful programming throughout the region. Through rotating exhibitions, community dialogues, and innovative interactive experiences—such as the Dimensions in Testimony℠ survivor conversations—The FHM continues to serve as a vital educational and cultural anchor for Tampa Bay.
