Keep your business healthy

St. Petersburg is home to high quality health care options for all stages of life, from an award-winning birthing center to vibrant assisted-living communities. St. Pete offers seven hospitals, and hundreds of independent providers who offer wide-ranging medical expertise.
Seven hospitals are right here in St. Pete, with many more in neighboring cities. We’re home to the world-class Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, which provides a Level II Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center, and St. Anthony’s Hospital.
HCA Florida St. Petersburg, Northside, and Pasadena Hospitals serve the area, and Kindred Hospital offers direct admission from home and skilled nursing facilities.

Choosing your trusted medical professionals is a key part of moving to a new city. You’ll be well provided for in St. Pete. A variety of large medical groups, as well as independent practices, serve St. Pete’s population. It’s easy to find a general practitioner or specialist in your neighborhood.
St. Pete and its region offers a level of care you would expect from a much larger city. For example, just across the Howard Frankland bridge is one of the top 10 cancer centers in the nation: Moffitt Cancer Center.
A wide choice of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and behavior analysts serve the St. Petersburg community, representing a variety of approaches and styles for every age and issue.
Most large medical groups provide behavioral health services including infant and early childhood support, family counselling, substance abuse, and in- and out-patient psychiatric care. Licensed emergency mental health and suicide prevention services are available from the nonprofit Eleos Wellness.

Just eight miles from downtown St. Pete is the Bay Pines VA headquarters. With community-based outpatient care in St. Pete and eight other nearby cities, Bay Pines Healthcare System serves about 110,000 veterans a year.
Our community is home to conventional medical specialists, as well as some of the nation’s top herbalists, acupuncturists, and other holistic healthcare professionals.
Such diverse offerings empower our residents to take control of their care and put together unique treatment and prevention plans that align to their personal preferences.
