Rectangle Health, a New York-based leader in healthcare payment technology, has opened a new office in St. Petersburg — and is already hiring.
The company, which combines healthcare payment processing and HIPAA compliance tools, has secured a 12,500 square-foot facility at 100 Fountain Parkway N. in the Carillon business district. The St. Pete office will serve as both the organization’s sales base and a new regional center for expanded engagement with healthcare providers, partners, and local talent. Opening day will welcome 40 employees and will continue to support rapid growth in the area.
A market leader with deep roots
Founded more than three decades ago and headquartered in Valhalla, New York, Rectangle Health has grown into a nationally recognized name in healthcare payments. The company serves independent dental, chiropractic, vision, physical therapy and similar practices while also supporting larger health systems through an enterprise division. With approximately 350 employees and more than 36,000 customers, Rectangle Health delivers innovative financial technology solutions across the healthcare industry.
Why St. Pete?
“The talent here has genuinely blown us away. Between the established tech professionals already building careers in St. Pete and the exceptional recent graduates coming out of the area’s colleges and universities, we’re finding exactly the kind of motivated, high-caliber people we need to grow this team.”

The decision to establish a presence here came from the top. Rectangle Health’s CEO, Dominick Colabella, identified Tampa Bay as the right fit based on the region’s growing technology sector, depth of available talent, and quality of life. The company had evaluated other areas but found that the Tampa Bay market is well positioned to recruit tech talent from.
“The talent here has genuinely blown us away,” said Jonathan Avedesian, Vice President of Practice Solutions at Rectangle Health. “Between the established tech professionals already building careers in St. Pete and the exceptional recent graduates coming out of the area’s colleges and universities, we’re finding exactly the kind of motivated, high-caliber people we need to grow this team.”
Growing careers in health tech
Rectangle Health is actively recruiting sales development representatives and practice solutions professionals to join the St. Pete team. The company proudly invests in young talent through immersive, hands-on training designed to develop sales skills and ensure expertise in the industry, reflecting the commitment to the local workforce.
“Rectangle Health is a great example of what we’re seeing more and more — employers actively choosing St. Pete because of our talent pipeline,” said Mike Swesey, CEO of the St. Pete EDC. “When a company with this kind of national presence decides to plant a flag here, it creates real opportunity for people who grew up in this community or came here for school and want to build their careers without leaving. That’s exactly the kind of economic momentum we’re working to sustain.”
