We are thrilled to congratulate St. Petersburg’s Webull Corporation on its recent milestone of becoming a publicly traded company! After completing a SPAC merger with SK Growth Opportunities Corporation in early 2025, Webull has officially entered the public markets. The company is now trading on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “BULL.”
The technology-driven financial services company recently celebrated this achievement with an opening bell ceremony at Nasdaq. Webull Group president Anthony Denier shared reflections on their eight-year journey: “Standing here now, it’s easy to think that we accomplished something great and we have. But the truth is now as a publicly listed company, we are reborn and have the privilege to begin again. We have the privilege to write the next chapter of our story which is going to be even better than the last.”
From New York City to the Sunshine City
This achievement caps an exciting journey that brought Webull to St. Petersburg just a few years ago. After an extensive search considering cities like Charlotte, Raleigh, Austin, and Denver, Webull chose St. Pete for its expansion in 2023, initially establishing an office in the vibrant downtown at Thrive DTSP.
What began with just six employees relocating from New York has blossomed into a significant economic driver for our region. The company’s growth in St. Pete has been remarkable, with Webull subsequently acquiring the former Catalina Building in St. Pete’s Carillon Business Park to accommodate their ambitious expansion plans.
A commitment to St. Pete
In a decisive move that demonstrated their confidence in our community, Webull relocated their global headquarters from New York to St. Petersburg, making the Sunshine City home to their executive leadership and a growing workforce of nearly 150 employees locally (with over 1,000 globally).

Carlos Questell, chief of staff at Webull who was instrumental in the relocation decision, has cited several factors that made St. Petersburg the ideal choice, including:
- Florida’s pro-business climate with favorable regulations and tax benefits
- The region’s growing tech and financial ecosystem
- Proximity to Tampa International Airport for business travel
- Access to talent from nearby universities including the University of South Florida and University of Tampa
- The area’s unique blend of professional opportunity and quality of life
Looking ahead
As Webull enters this new chapter as a publicly traded company, they continue to contribute to St. Pete’s reputation as an emerging fintech hub. Their success exemplifies the type of company the Sunshine City aims to attract – organizations that not only bring high-quality jobs but also become engaged members of the community.
According to their merger announcement, Webull serves more than 20 million registered users globally and operates in 15 regions worldwide. The public listing is expected to support their continued international expansion while maintaining their headquarters here in St. Pete.

We celebrate Webull’s journey from selecting St. Petersburg as a regional office location to establishing their global headquarters here and now going public. We look forward to witnessing Webull’s continued growth and success as they embark on this exciting new phase as a publicly traded company.
Congratulations to the entire Webull team on this achievement!
