Non-Profits

Be part of a community that gives back.

St. Pete is a hub of mentors and helpers. If you’ve ever yearned to pay your talents forward, this is the place to do it. You’ll be in excellent company, with established, driven non-profits offering meaningful volunteer and leadership opportunities.

Our culture of business giving is strong. Established local organizations like the Tampa Bay Rays employees help build houses with Habitat for Humanity alongside community volunteers. This is a place where everyone can pitch in.

Plug in where you fit in.

Volunteer in day to day activities or offer your leadership skills. Help ensure those experiencing domestic abuse have a safe place to stay by volunteering at the CASA thrift store. Provide meals through the St. Petersburg Clinic, or for families whose children are undergoing intensive treatment at the Ronald McDonald House. Volunteer in our nature preserves for the City. Or out on the Gulf through Tampa Bay Watch.

These opportunities only scratch the surface of the non-profits that drive St. Pete. Get involved in a way that sparks your passion and gives you the opportunity to share your skills.

Nurture budding business.

Local non-profits help new and local business grow across town. Each business district is supported by a non-profit offering guidance and promotional support.

St. Petersburg Downtown Partnership supports collaboration, networking, investment, and continued education. Get involved with the St. Pete Downtown Market and Keep St. Pete Local to foster local businesses.

Give tomorrow’s leaders a
chance to grow.
St. Pete fosters talent from early stages, and local businesses have the opportunity to get involved in programs that directly affect the future of our community’s children.
Help the next generation skill up at schools, nature preserves and awesome kids’ camps such as Girls Rock music camps, Keep St. Pete Lit and Pathfinder Outdoor Education.

Encourage a healthy urban landscape.
St. Pete EcoVillage, a newcomer on the non-profit scene, connects locals to fresh, nutritious food. The Edible Peace Patch brings the hard work and know-how of local gardeners to local schools to provide food gardens around the city.
